Orkas

Bring a product brief and project files to Orkas, an open-source, local-first desktop AI workforce. Commander coordinates specialists such as DeepResearcher, ContentWriter and ProductDeveloper to turn source material into a research brief, launch copy and reviewable code changes. Reuse project instructions, memory, Library sources and skills across updates. Inspect the MIT-licensed code and connect supported model providers with your own API keys, or choose Orkas-managed models. Project materials and outputs stay local by default; remote model requests go to the selected provider. Packaged macOS and Windows builds are available, with Linux supported from source. The core app is free; model usage and optional official services may cost extra.
