1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Built Here (builthere.eu), operated by HIPT (Hobby Internet Projects Thomas) ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember preferences, or understand how visitors use the service. Similar technologies include local storage entries used to remember your cookie choices.

3. How We Use Cookies

Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are necessary for the website to work. They cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as signing in or submitting a form.

  • Authentication: Session cookies from our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in securely.
  • Security: Cookies that help protect against abuse and maintain service integrity.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you choose "Accept all" on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-BX4SVVTWE9) to collect aggregated information about how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed, session duration, device type, and general location (city/country level). We enable IP anonymization in Google Analytics configuration.

Google may process this data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data privacy information. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Your Choices

When you first visit Built Here, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies using our cookie banner. Rejecting non-essential cookies means we will not load Google Analytics.

You can change your choice at any time via in the site footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in and core features.

5. Legal Basis

Essential cookies are used based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functional website and, where applicable, to perform our contract with you when you use an account. Analytics cookies are used only with your consent under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules.
